Liverpool: Progress at Anfield future

Liverpool managing director said that the club is moving closer to a decision whether to stay at Anfield or move to a new stadium. He said that the club is still discussing whether to redevelop the current stadium or move to another one. He said decision could be taken before date anticipated. the new stadium can cost more than £300 million and will increase the capacity by 15,000. Redeveloping Anfield have its own problems, infringing neighboring owners certain rights. The managing director said that now they have 2 major brands which are very interested in the project and can offer some money, as sponsorship. The owners were criticized by fans that the owners have not improvements in this regard however one must say that this requires a lot of time. He did not rule out extending the Anfield, but they need to convince the neighboring owners about the project. The wish to redevelop Anfield and not move away to a new stadium was always the wish of the President John W. Henry, as "Anfield has a certain atmosphere that is difficult to replicate somewhere else."
