Puyol vows to remain loyal to Barcelona

Both the United Arab Emirates and Russia have offered the Carles Puyol extremely lucrative offers, but the Barcelona captain has talked down a move out of the Catalan club. Anzhi Makhachkala were one of the clubs that have supposedly offered Puyol a contract, who are looking to add to their firepower and hopefully compete in a bigger stage. By accepting the offer, the Spanish could have reunited with a familiar face; that of Samuel Eto'o, with the latter having also spent some with the Catalans, after moving to Inter and finally to the Russian club. The centre back has declared that he wants to end his football career wight where he started it, while also saying that he has no intention of retiring from the international squad and is looking forward to add to his 99 caps for Spain.
