Seedorf chooses Botafogo

Clarence Seedorf accepted the contract offer by Botafogo, making him the highest paid foreigner in Brazil. The move to the South america was imminent after months of speculation linking Seedorf to a South American club. The signature of the player was confirmed by Botafogo themselves on their website, by stating that they have captured the 36-year old. He has signed for 2 years. He had spent 10 years with Milan, winning 2 Serie A, and also 2 Champions Leagues.

Iringa imezinduka kwenye michuano ya Copa Coca-Cola baada ya leo asubuhi (Juni 30 mwaka huu) kuifunga Kaskazini Pemba mabao 3-0 katika mchezo uliofanyika Uwanja wa Nyumbu mkoani Pwani.

Chris Wilde raia wa Marekani aliyekimbia kilometa 50 kuipa Tanzania zawadi ya miaka 50 ya uhuru wa Tanganyika ameahidi kurejea tena mwakani kukimbia kilometa 51 katika mbio za kutimiaza miaka 23 tangu kuanzishwa kwa mbio za Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon 1991.

Wilde ambaye ni mganga msaidizi kutoka jimbo la Minnesota amekuwa mtu wa kwanza kukimbia kilometa 50 kusheherekea uhuru wa Tanganyika alipokimbia katika mbio za Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon jumapili tarehe 24 mjini Moshi.

Mbio hizo zilifanyika kuanzia Moshi Club hadi Rau madukani na kurudi. Chris Wilde alirudi mara 9 na nusu ili kutimiza kilometa 50 kama zawadi kwa nchi ya Tanzania.

“Naipenda sana Tanzania na ili kuidhihirishia dunia kuwa mlima Kilimanjaro uko Tanzania, nakimbia mbio hizi kama zawadi kwa Tanzania” alisema mzungu huyo mwenye umbo la mwariadha wakati anajiandaa kukimbia mbio hizo jumapili tarehe juni 24.

Wilde aliongozana na mwanariadha wa kimataifa mtanzania Nelson Brighton na ambaye anakwenda nchini Marekani mwezi ujao kushiriki katika mbio mbalimbali zilizoandaliwa kwa ufadhili wa Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon 1991.

Kumiminika kwa wakimbiaji wa Kimarekani, Ulaya, Australia, Canada na Scandinavia katika mbio za Mt. Kilimanjaro marathon ni neema kubwa kwa taifa hili ambalo lina hazina kubwa sana ya wanamichezo wanaotakiwa kuendelezwa.

Chris Wilde aliungana na mcheza sinema maarufu wa Marekani Deidre Lorenz kushiriki katika mbio za Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon na kuzifanya kuwa mbio zinazovutia washiriki wa Kimataifa. Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon zilianzishwa mwaka 1991 na Marie Frances kutoka Bethesda nchini Marekani.
