Jupp Heynckes "has a contract. He will remain in any case."

The Bayern Munich president has confirmed that current manager Jupp Heynckes will not be replaced despite failing to bring the Champions League in the Bayern trophy cabinet. Uli Hoeness has stated that Heynckes will be allowed to see out his contract which ends in 2013. Even the Bavarian manager has confirmed his decision of staying put by emphasising the fact that his contract does not run out till next year. The 67-year-old continued by saying that he has plans to redeem himself next season.

After missing an important penalty, Dutch winger Arjen Robben has been linked with a move out of Germany, and Bayern have already thought oof a replacement with the signing of Xherdan Shaqiri, a young winger that is said to have the same preferred moves (cutting in from the right flank and shoot with stronger foot) as Robben. Croatian striker Ivica Olić is also being rumoured to be leaving the club, and several names popped up as a replacement, mainly those of Edin Dzeko and Olivier Giroud, with the Bosnian fancying a return to play in familiar territory after appearing in less matches than expected with Manchester City.
