Brittany Curran and Brock Ciarlelli Nominated for a Young Artist Award!



IMTA alum Brock Ciarlelli is nominated for an award for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A TV SERIES, Recurring Young Actor for his performance on the TV sereis The Middle. Brock plays the recurring role of Brad Bottig, the new love interest of one of main characters, Sue. Brock competed at IMTA in New York City where he won Winner of Best Monolgue! He is currently in post production on 2.0.


Brittany Curran is nominated for BEST SUPPORTING ROLE IN A TV SERIES COMEDY OR DRAMA for her performance in Men of a Certain Age! Brittany plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. The Award Ceremony will take place in Studio City, Ca. on Sunday March 13, 2011!

Other IMTA alums who have been won or been nominated for this prestigious award include: Sofia Vassilieva, who competed at IMTA in 2000. She won a Young Artists Awards for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! Joseph Castanon (IMTA 2004) was nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A SHORT FILM for a Young Actor in the film Santa's Little Helper where he portrayed Marlon; and Kayley Stallings (IMTA 2006) was nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN LIVE THEATER for her role in the play How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Sofia Vassilieva on Medium Tonight!


Have you been watching Medium? IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva's character, Ariel Dubois, is in an new episode tonight called How to Kill a Good Guy. This series is now in it's seventh season! The intriguing series is based on the real-life story of a psychic who uses her abilities to solve.

Sofia, who competed at IMTA in 2000, won a Young Artists Awards for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This film is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.

Sofia Vassilieva Supports Stand Up To Cancer!

IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva will join several top celebrities for Stand Up to Cancer, a live telethon to raise money for cancer research. Sofia, who competed at IMTA in 2000, won a Young Artists Awards for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This film is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.

According to the Stand Up for Cancer Organization :"The Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) telecast will raise funds that will accelerate innovative cancer research. The live, one-hour fundraising event will be simulcast commercial-free on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Bio, Current TV, Discovery Health, E!, G4, HBO, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, The Style Network, TV One and VH1 and hosted by network news anchors Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams. The broadcast will air in 195 countries, as well as on the Armed Forces Network....

Previously announced participants in the September 10th special include: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Tatyana Ali, Dave Annable, Christina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, David Boreanaz, Abigail Breslin, Cindy Crawford, Fran Drescher, Elizabeth Edwards, Donald Faison, Sally Field, Derek Fisher, Michael C. IMTA Alum Winner Sofia Vassilieva!


Last night the Young Artists Awards were presented and an IMTA alum, Sofia Vassilieva,won an award! She won for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This heart-wrenching film won the Choice Summer Movie Drama Award! My Sister's Keeper is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.Sofia is very well known for her role as Ariel in hit show Medium which just wrapped up its sixth season in February! Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000! While competing Sofia garnered a lot of interest from the managers, agents and casting directors who were scouting at the Convention.

Vote for IMTA's Joseph Castanon, Kayley Stallings and Sofia Vassilieva!

Vote for IMTA alums Kayley Stallings, Joseph Castanon and Sofia Vassilieva for a Young Artist Awards. These awards are given once a year and are are like Oscars for children! You can vote up to April 10, then the vote will be tabulated. The official award ceremony will be at the Gala event scheduled to take place on Sunday April 11, 2010 at the Beverly Garland in Studio City, California. Joseph is nominated in the BEST PERFORMANCE IN A SHORT FILM for a Young Actor in the film Santa's Little Helper where he portrayed Marlon. He competed at IMTA in 2004 and he recently wrapped Nic and Tristan Go Mega Dega. His movie Happiness Runs is opening in limited release May 7, 2010!

Kayley is nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN LIVE THEATER in the play How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Kayley, who competed at IMTA in 2006, starred as the adorable Cindy-Lou Who in the play. Kayley recently booked the film The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation!

Sofia Vassilieva is nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for a Supporting Young Actress. She competed at IMTA in 2000 and is nominated for her role in My Sister's Keeper. Sofia can be seen as Ariel Dubois in the popular TV show Medium!
