Where do i start!? There are so many wonderful things about this beautifully produced erotic music video by Thorgal.

For a start it has twin inspirations, firstly the classic 1980's music video "Take on Me" by A-Ha, and also of course the recent masterpiece of SL Adult Machinima, by Nikki Arlington, "Sketched". Thorgal pays tribute to these by including a lovely cover version of that song, and featuring a movie poster for sketched as part of the film set. Which i felt were both very nice touches. Now its becoming a really fun feature of all Thorgals movies to look out for these details. I love it!

The concept itself, aside from the inspirations involved is truly lovely. An artist painting a very pretty girl ( Aurelia Lionheart ) and letting his mind wander through wishful thinking on to erotic imagery, and also not able to help himself getting it all down on canvas. Leading to a romantic and fun finale.

Visually, this is really, really nice to watch, the sound track also helps set the perfect tone. This is not sleazy porn, it's erotic, and tasteful, and i feel it's romantic too. It's polished, and beautifully made, without any flaws whatsoever. all hallmarks now of a Virual Immaturity production.

I even loved the "555" this is a guy that knows his cinema and TV rules and traditions!

COMIC BOOK PORN : DIRTY ROSES "DIRTY CLUB"

If you're a regular browser of Second Life members Flickr pages, you may have seen, but recently missed seeing Dirty Roses great porn comic book adventures.

The good news is she's back! Producing a new on going series called "Dirty Club".

I feel comic book porn sits right in the middle between movies and regular photoshoots. It conveys graphic story telling with hot photography, just as movies can. It's been taken to the highest levels here by Dirty Rose, by others too like Deelite Zenovka. Of course also most recently by the great Nikki Arlington's "Sketched" which was a land mark movie. Bringing comic book porn  to the screen, with great style and creativity.

Movie Review : Sketched : Episode One : By Nikki Arlington

Sketched Ep1 is an epic bar raiser! All involved should be proud, and some major editing needs to be done on every bodies resume who was anywhere near this production! It's well and truly a masterpiece in terms of technical skills, looks, and how it relays it's very fun story.

Nikki sent me these great screen shots of the movie when i requested them for the blog. So i'm going to continue with a little gallery after my review. Along with of course the movie. All after the JUMP at the foot of this post.

Sketched takes a genre of the Second Life adult scene I've enjoyed and loved, and featured on the blog here several times. Through photographers such as Deelite Zenovka. Which is comic book porn. This is brought to the screen in flawless style by Nikki Arlington, and with it comes a unique movie of high quality. The comedy, fun, stylish shots and scenes, and bright plot sits naturally too in the comic book universe. I found it truly fitting Deelite was involved and cast in this film too, it was a great touch.

You can deliver stories so well in this format and Nikki's classy movie making has taken full advantage. Explanations, text to set up scenes, and dialogue all sit organically and perfectly naturally within a comic book format. Meaning you can tell a elaborate story so well in a short space of time. Bypassing headaches for many Director's, and delivering the viewer a movie full of fun and substance without action grinding to a halt, or an inkling of boredom. It really does flow so well, and fluidly.

The cast look fantastic. The Sketched format transforming them, but still allowing their Second Life personality, and looks to shine through.

We've had a few land mark movies that have really raised the bar released on our Second Life Porn scene. I can think of a few, Rysan Fall's Executive Encounter, Emmanuelle Jameson's La Cagna Ricca, Pixie Rain's Stand Off, and recently Tutsy's Metasex. All these movies excelled by using innovations which made them stand out. Sketched must now sit among these movies for innovation, production values, and finding a stand out formula which sends it and others made with the same passion and dedication over the bar.

One of the best aspects, this is Episode One! So we can look forward to much more to come. As you all can imagine, with a Director this driven to succeed, and delivering us quality like this, with a winning formula, where the sky is the limit. Part Two is a very hot mouth watering prospect!

Nikki is a producer i admire very much at SL Porn Tube. Producing some of the highest quality videos I've ever seen, with a lot of style, and flare. I'm including one of her movies after the jump, because they really do have to be seen to be believed! Judging by Emily's photograph's Nikki could be a star whatever direction she chose within the Porn scene!

Nikki is also a pioneer of video commissions, joining the ranks of SL machinima artists people feel good enough about to commision a project from. This is common for photographers in Second Life, and talent like Nikki's is helping to make this true of Videographer's like ourselves too. Good luck to her in her en-devours.
