Pedro: "I knew that I will be selected"

Pedro was always confident that he will make it for the Euro Championships, despite Spain having a lot of talented midfielders. At Barcelona he normally plays as a winger and also as a second striker when needed. He knew that to make it in the Spanish team you had to play at your best and also to be on of the best. Last World Cup he was part of the team of Spain, but yet he only started 2 games in that competition, one being the final. Jesus Navas showed that he has the quality of a world class winger with perfect crosses, while Manuel Mata also played a key role at Chelsea, so chances for Pedro seems to be limited. Villa's injury could be the factor that Pedro was chosen, but it still remains unclear while Roberto Soldado and Iker Muniain were not selected over Pedro. Pedro is still 23 years old, and believes that Spain can do it again this year.
