This week, fans and consumers will see Eva appear alongside her newest co-star, Elijah De La Cerda, a 5-year-old boy with Down syndrome from Fresno, CA, on the cover of the Toys“R”Us Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids. This complimentary toy-selection resource for parents and caregivers of children with special needs is now available in Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us stores nationwide. A digital version of the Guide is also available online at Toysrus.com/DifferentlyAbled in English and Spanish.
Inspired by her sister, Liza, who was born with developmental disabilities, Eva Longoria created Eva’s Heroes in 2006, a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio that provides an inclusive environment for individuals with special needs to interact and learn with their peers.
Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 where she amazed the judges with her dazzling talent and gorgeous look. She moved to Los Angeles soon after IMTA, and landed spots on 90210, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless.
