Hope Solo
Hope Amelia Solo is an American soccer goalkeeper who currently plays for the magicJack of Women's Professional Soccer. She is the current starting goalkeeper for the United States women's national soccer team.Hope Solo keeper has 92 caps with the U.S. National Team good enough for second all time among American goalies. Solo is also ranked second in U.S. women's history in wins and shutouts. In the past six years, Solo has lost just one game for the National Team. Solo was the starting goalie on the 2007 World Cup team for the first four games of the tournament (3 wins and a draw) before being benched in favor of Briana Scurry for their semifinal match against Brazil that the U.S. would lose 4-0. Solo bounced back helping lead the U.S.'s 2008 Olympic Team to the gold medal. Solo had shoulder surgery in September but appears to have made a full recovery.
